Microsoft has won a dispute over naming rights, including XboxPhone.com, XboxTablet.com, XboxLiveTV.com, XboxCompanion.com, Xbox8.us and Xbox8.org.
As reported in Fusible, the platform holder secured the rights to a selection of domain names after filing their dispute in May.
It's easy to explain away XboxTablet and XboxLiveTV, but Xbox8 is a little more mysterious. Speculation has already started that this could be a possible name for the new console (anything is better than Durango).
With Microsoft rolling out Windows 8 across all of their platforms later this year, Xbox8 would fit in nicely. Alternatively it could refer to the operating system set to launch with the console. Or it could mean absolutely nothing at all. We just don't know!
