Update
A report over on Kotaku states that the still unannounced game being teased by Ubisoft is called Far Cry Primal, and that it's a prehistoric take on the series, smaller in scale to a numbered entry, similar in scope to something like Blood Dragon.
The report is backed up by a leak from IGN Turkey who it looks like went early with the announcement on Twitter. The video currently being played on the publisher's site is (very slowly) panning out to reveal more information, so based on what we can see at the moment it's safe to assume we can expect woolly mammoths and sabre-tooth tigers.
Apart from that there's not much else to report right now, but we're sure by the time we all wake up tomorrow there'll be much more to tell you. Until then...
Original Story
Ubisoft are teasing an announcement of some kind over on their website and on YouTube, where they say they'll be revealing something "soon."
Is the publisher about to unveil some sort of pre-historic Far Cry offering, or perhaps even a completely new IP? All we've got so far is the following slogan: "Survival is timeless."
We'll update you as soon as we have more to report.
