Oculus VR founder Palmer Luckey has underlined that the final consumer version of Oculus Rift VR Headset will cost more than $350 USD when it launches next year.
In an interview with Road to VR Luckey said that the device will cost more than the amount originally suggested.
"The reason for that is that we've added a lot of technology to this thing beyond what existed in the DK1 and DK2 days," Luckey is quoted as saying. They didn't want to compromise quality, so a higher price is "needed" to ensure that experience is of the highest quality possible.
