Bad news for Pro Evolution Soccer 2016's offline players. Konami announced some new features that will be introduced in the game starting from October 1st, but these new features will be available only for online modes. In particular, this update will be made available Live Updates for Online Divisions, Friendly Match Lobby, Team Play Lobby, Online Competition, and Quick Match. Thanks to Live Updates, the statistics of the players will be constantly updated based on their weekly activities.

However players who enjoy offline modes will have to wait until October 29, with the launch of the first Data Pack, before the Live Update and all new and updated rosters will finally be available. Konami's decision immediately sparked uproar among players, who are made to wait more than a month after the official launch of the game for proper rosters. For comparison FIFA 16 launched this week with rosters up to date with recent transfers.

The community manager, Adam Bhatti, was targeted by insults and threats, and he apologised on Twitter for the delay:

"Hey all, apologies for the roster delay for offline modes, not ideal. Personally working on tonnes of things to make 29th Oct a better day."

PES 2016 launched September 17 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. You can read our review over here.
