Last night Oculus held a Oculus Connect event, an event dedicated entirely to their VR device, and few interesting details were unveiled, including some of the different games that will be available at the Oculus Rift launch. However, there were no announcement of a price or firm release, but Oculus VR's CEO, Brendan Iribe, did say that the VR device won't be priced lower than $300 (£200 - although you can bet the UK equivalent of a US $300 price tag would be at least £250).
The company also revealed a potential price that players will have to spend to adequately support Oculus on PC. If you haven't a particularly powerful PC, in fact, the average amount for your personal computer that supports the device is around $1,500 (£1,000).
Dell, Alienware and Asus (in partnership with Nvidia and Intel) are working on computers designed to be used without problems with Oculus Rift. These Oculus Ready PC models will have a starting price point at less than $1,000.
