Yacht Club Games has just released a free DLC for their exquisite platformer, Shovel Knight. Plague of Shadows is now available across all platforms, and you can find out how to access it by hitting this link.
The new DLC updates the old campaign with new content and a fresh story, and it's played out from a different perspective. Here we'll be fighting the knights of the Order of No Quarter as Plague Knight, which means bomb jumps and new attack animations, plus new sets of collectibles, armour, secrets and additional side content.
A new Challenge mode brings 10 Shovel Knight courses, 5 for Plague Knight, and 32 boss challenges. If you've not yet finished the original game, but you want to get cracking on the new campaign, the devs have posted a "secret" unlock code, which you can see below. Finally, the official soundtrack by Jake Kaufman can be heard here.
