We're all hoping that the Force is strong in Star Wars Battlefront, and it's not long until we find out with the game heading to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 17. Some of us will be playing it even earlier than that when the open beta hits all three platforms, although there's still no word on when exactly that will be (word on the street is sometime around early October).
There is, however, some additional details on what we'll be playing in the beta when it does come online. As written in a community blogpost, both online and offline modes will be made available. We now know that we'll be playing Drop Zone on Sullust, Walker Assault on Hoth, and there's to be a Survival Mission mode that plays out on Tatooine (it'll be playable via online co-op or local split-screen).
A short Q&A accompanied the post, where it was mentioned that the Fighter Squadron mode would include 10 AI-controlled bots on each side, there's to be a deluxe edition of the game that comes with some unlocked items ("Ion Grenade, Ion Torpedo, and DL-44 unlocked right away along with the exclusive Ion Shock and Victory emotes"), and when it comes to sidearms players will be handed a primary blaster and an accompanying Star Card ("How you customize your Star Card hand will be up to you").
