Sega have announced plans to close down their regional offices for distribution in France, Germany, Spain, Australia and Benelux, instead opting to work through distribution partners. It's a logical next step as Sega increases their focus on digital distribution as well as a focus on fewer retail releases from their core franchises (Aliens, Sonic, Football Manager and Total War).
At this time Sega's UK operations are kept intact, although there may be some cutbacks, but UK developers The Creative Assembly and Sports Interactive are unaffected.
