For only the second time in the last twelve months the US gaming industry saw growth at retail in March (Sep 09 was up one per cent compared to Sep 08). Lots of big sellers including Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver, Final Fantasy XIII, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 , and the single SKU best-selling game of the month, God of War III, all contributed to the feat. As far as hardware is concerned Nintendo ruled the month, and the introduction of DSi XL has likely helped the DS numbers somewhat. Shortages have been reported for the PS3 hardware.
