As a representative for both Sega and the Yakuza series, Toshihiro Nagoshi took the stage at Sony's pre-TGS conference to announce a couple of new projects. Both titles will come out next year, and both are exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
As a 10th Anniversary nod, the first Yakuza will get the Remaster treatment in something called Yakuza Extreme or Kiwami. The new version will add new missions, and will release for both PS3 and PS4 January 21st in Japan.
Yakuza 6 is one of the major announcements from this Tokyo Game Show so far, and it'll be the first entry exclusive to PS4. The game will launch in the fall of 2016 in Japan (no oversees plans were announced), with more details coming this very week when the show starts properly. Given we're just now getting Yakuza 5 in Europe, we may have to wait on this one.
