Last week we reported, that a nasty bug in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain could erase your progress and corrupt your save file, if you used the character Quiet in two of the main missions. Now though, a patch with a fix has been released on PS4, and according to the readers of Gamepur, it's a 436MB download. Here is the changelog:

- Fixed an issue where under specific conditions, the game halts progression in the black screens displayed after clearing Mission 29 and Mission 42.

- Fixed the issue where once the prior issue is triggered, the save data goes directly to the black screen and game progression is halted.

- Fixed the issue where using the selection controls during the tutorial when first buying an FOB the game halted progression.

When fans asked when the patch might release on other platforms, Konami replied via Twitter:

"We're happy to report that a fix for the Quiet/save data issue has now been implemented for PS4. The same fix for other platforms are coming."
