A few days ago we reported that a weird bug has been affecting Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain; if you use Quiet in two specific missions (mission 29 and mission 42), the player inexplicably loses/corrupts all their game progress and save data. After a series of investigations Konami has discovered the exact cause of this bug and they have shared this information on their official forums.
As confirmed by the company, you can avoid this bug temporarily even if you keep using Quiet during those missions "if you use the Butterfly Emblem throughout the mission or avoid raising your Bond Level with Quiet to MAX during the course of the mission."
Meanwhile Konami has announced that they're working on a patch for fixing this issue and they will announce further updates "soon".
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is now available on several platforms. You can read our review over here.
