There was a time when every game needed multiplayer, regardless of if it fitted the theme of the game or not. Those days does fortunate seem to be a thing of the past, with an increasing number of franchises that previously featured multiplayer removing it in order to focus on the campaign.

One of these games is Rise of the Tomb Raider. This was revealed in the latest issue Official Xbox Magazine. This means that the multiplayer from the previous game is gone and that all resources has been put into singleplayer, or as the article puts it:

"With multiplayer cut from the experience, Crystal Dynamics needed to make this core campaign as entertaining as possible."

Would you have preferred multiplayer, or are you satisfied with promises of a better singleplayer campaign?

Thanks, Gamepur.
