Konami has just announced that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is off to a good start with 3 million copies shipped around the world. As a comparison, this is in line with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots which also shipped 3 million copies at launch. Of course, these days digital sales (that aren't shipped) account for more sales - so that should be factored in to the equation.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was released on Tuesday last week for PC, PlayStation 3 and 4 plus Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
