The Japanese website Tokyo Keizai Online (finance and politics) has released an interesting list with the 500 companies that spent the most money on advertising during the past fiscal year in Japan. That means from April 1st, 2014 to March 31st, 2015.
And the number one company is Sony (the whole corporation and not just PlayStation, naturally) who spent the most money on advertising with 444.4 billion yen. That equala to 5.4% of the company's total revenue of 8,215.9 billion yen.
Nintendo ranked as number 20 with a total spending of 54.8 billion yen, and that accounts for as much as 10% of the total revenue.
