As reported last night, players on all platforms will be able to take part in the technical beta for Star Wars Battlefront in October.
This news found its way to Reddit where interested people started asking questions to developer DICE's community manager. One of these questions was about whether there would be a server browser.
As PC players know, a server browser lets you find favourite servers with communities, players and maps you like the most. This, however, will not be a part of the Battlefront experience. A community manager named "Sledgehammer70" wrote the following:
"Star Wars Battlefront will not offer a server browser, but will utilize a new skill based matchmaking system."
This has already cause a major backlash in the comments on the site, but it does confirm Patrick Bach's (EA) statement in The Official PlayStation Magazine:
"I don't think we have a single system in the game that is the same as in Battlefield. They are as far apart as any shooter would be to any other shooter."
