The ongoing patent war between Microsoft and Motorola took another turn after Microsoft refused Motorola's recent settlement offer.
The legal battle in question relates to patent disputes from both sides. Microsoft's ActiveSync is used in many Android phones, and Motorola offered to pay $0.33 for every phone sold in the US that uses the tech.
In return Motorola asked for 2.25% on each Xbox sold, and $0.50 per copy of Windows; both use Motorola's H.264 video technology. These terms not accepted by Microsoft, with them being described as being "far in excess of market rates".
