Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will not be launching simultaneously across all three platforms, with the release of the PC version of the game now revealed as November 19.
This move by the publisher is so the PC team has the extra time they need to optimise the game ahead of launch, and obviously memories of Unity's troubled launch are still fresh in everyone's minds.
"We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project," explained Sam Kovalev, the studio production manager over at Ubisoft Kiev.
"This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year. The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one."
The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game are due to land on October 23. You can read our most recent preview here.
