Last night Bungie hosted another Destiny reveal, during which the three new subclasses coming in The Taken King were put under the spotlight. We've included some notes on them below, but you can find out more about all three by heading this way.
Hunter Subclass - Nightstalker: Hunters are getting crowd control options thanks to a new grenade that, after the initial blast, forms a defensible wall. A hit with the new bow will see wires spring forth and slow down nearby enemies, while melee attacks deliver a customisable smoke grenade.
Titan Subclass - Sunbreaker: Things are hotting up for Titans with new grenades that will unleash waves of fire on their opponents, the Hammer of Sol that offers Golden Gun-like one-hit-kills via flaming throwing hammers, and there's a new melee attack called Sunstrike.
Warlock Subclass - Stormcaller: With lightening at their fingertips, Warlocks are going to be able to rain down electricity on their foes when floating around the battlefield thanks to the Landfall modifier. Storm Grenade will call down a localised AoE lightening strike to devastating to effect, and there's a new electric melee attack to complete the trilogy. Stormtrance will allow a character to increase their speed, as will the new Pulsewave Artifact.
During the livestream we were shown a level 36 Strike called Shield Brothers, which takes place in the game's new environment, the Dreadnaught. During the demo Bungie were showing off Guardians tackling Cabal enemies (and you can watch it here).
Bungie are also promising to increase the amount of variety in Strikes, with dialogue changing between attempts, varying spawn points and enemy types. Players will also get Strike-specific rewards for completing certain missions.
Bungie also showed off a few of the Exotic items that players will be collecting from next month, and you can see and find out more about them by heading over to the studio's Instagram page.
Destiny's expansion, The Taken King, is heading to PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 15.
