It's been a year since EA launched their service EA Access to Xbox One, which let custumors pay an annoual fee to get access to several fairly new AAA games (amongst them EA Sports UFC, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Titanfall).
According to EA, the service has been a tremendous success for the company, but despite this, Sony has firmly said no to have it on PlayStation 4. A representative from the company even inclined that it wasn't a good deal:
"We don't think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer."
Gamespot got an interview with the EA boss Peter Moore and asked him if he wanted to release the service on PlayStation 4 as well, to which he replied:
"Doesn't matter. It's on Xbox One, and those customers love it. We have analytics on everything these days, and subscriber satisfaction rates are through the roof. EA Access customers get to play more, because of the Vault, they get to play early, ahead of general release date, and they get to pay less because of the discounts it offers."
Despite attempts to push Moore, he refuses to say anything more and finally states:
"Well Sony talked about it, ask them [laughs]. There's not much left for me to say."
It doesn't sound like EA Access is going to PlayStation 4 anytime soon, and that it is still up to Sony to make the decision.
