Last night there was a Call of Duty livestream direct from Gamescom, and during the show it was confirmed that with the launch of Black Ops 3, competitive Call of Duty will shift from Xbox to PlayStation 4.
Given the fact that Sony announced that PlayStation as the new home of Call of Duty during E3 in June, it's not a huge shock to hear the news, but given that the Xbox has long been the home of official Call of Duty eSports, and with no official confirmation (until now), there had been some uncertainty. But now we know, after Treyarch's David Vonderhaar confirmed the news last night.
Thanks, Charlie Intel.
