Uncharted movie slips back into 2017

With no director in place, it's hardly a surprise.

Back in June it was revealed that the Uncharted movie was without a director after Seth Gordon stepped down from the role. With that in mind it won't come a surprise to anyone to hear that Sony has now pushed the movie's prospective release date back to June 30, 2017.

New Uncharted is still heading to consoles in the meantime, with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection heading to PS4 in October, and sequel Uncharted 4: A Thief's End still in development and set to land sometime next year. That lot should keep fans of the series busy while they wait for the movie.

Thanks, SlashFilm.
