Another look at the exciting MMOFPS.

SOE are getting ready to take Planetside 2 into closed beta (you can head here to register for a chance to participate, though competition for places will be fierce). A logistical nightmare, Planetside 2 puts up to 2000 players into the same arena and lets them have at it.

With such large conflicts taking place, and with both land and air vehicles being employed in battle, Planetside 2 offers players a whole host of ways to specialise their role on the battlefield. Want to drive troops into battle? Or charge headfirst into combat? Or play a ranged game based on accuracy and stealth? All these options and more are available.

As the beta draws ever closer (we were been told "in the near future" at the end of last month), we're hearing more and more from SOE. Here's their most recent offering; a generous collection of screens.
