Mojang have announced via their blog that a director has been chosen for the upcoming Minecraft movie. Rob McElhenney, who is perhaps best known for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (creator as well as starring in it), will direct the Warner Bros backed feature film. Previously Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Real Steel) had been attached to the project, but he left as a result of creative differences.
