The Stimulus Package, the first map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, has run into a bit of a snag - while it was released earlier today, costing gamers 1200 Microsoft points, the pack itself doesn't actually work right now. Microsoft and Infinity Ward have scrambled to fix things, and as I write this Live editor Daniel Maher tweeted about 15 minutes ago that the update that will make the package work is being prepped but might take up to four hours to get it available everywhere.
Yes, I think we can all agree that it's a bit annoying - but I think we can agree even more on the fact that the sub-header to this news post ("Look for stimulation elsewhere for now") is hilarious stuff. I will call this team work, since Bengt ran around immitating the Soup Nazi shouting "no stimulation for you!" just now. Comedy gold, that was.
Anyway, the pack includes five maps - three new and two classic ones from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Or at least it will when it actually works.
