We all know what happened by now. The series' creators Rocksteady Studios, worked on the console versions, while the PC port was handed over to Iron Galaxy Studios. It did not end well.

As a matter of fact, the PC version was pulled from Steam and other outlets just days after the game's release, to return once it was freed of the bugs and technical errors. No date was given for when that would be.

Now it seems the wait has only just started, as the month of September has surfaced as the earliest opportunity for a fix. This is outlined in an internal email from the games store chain EB Games, obtained by Kotaku Australia.

The notice allegedly reads as follows:

"As previously advised we have stopped sales of Batman: Arkham Knight PC while Warner and Rocksteady work on addressing performance issues with the game. The latest information from Warner is that the updates won't be available until Spring. Due to this we have made the difficult decision to recall all PC stock from stores to return to the vendor until an acceptable solution is released."

Since this is the land down under, spring starts on September 1st, however the same logic can be use to extend the proposed release window all the way to the end of November.

At this point it's glaringly obvious that the issues with the PC version are substantial. For the time being Rocksteady Studios has taken over the development (aid and rescue) and future DLC packs have been put hold hold while the PC version is being sorted out.
