Varying framerates is something that we've sadly become accustomed to at the beginning of this new generation and now it would appear as if it is otherwise technically proficient Grand Theft Auto V on PC has suffered a bout of framerate disease. With the latest upgrade, "Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2" the screen refresh rate is clearly worse than before, and Rockstar has announced that they are working to find a solution. On Rockstar's own support site a worried player asks if they are going to fix the problem:
"Question: After updating GTAV to 1.28 on PC, I'm noticing considerably lower framerate. Is this issue being looked into?
Answer: We have received reports of lower framerate in GTAV and GTA Online after Title Update 1.28 on PC, and we are looking into these reports now.
