With the dual Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter project was announced five years ago, and the first entry released by Capcom in 2012, all eyes have been on the second half of the fighting franchise, and doubts have arisen whether it'd ever see light of day.
Speaking to Famitsu, Tekken's Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed the game's quite far into development.
"The character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago, and we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems," he explains. Interestingly the lengthy wait for the game's appearance is partly down to the team trying to work out how to spike interest now one crossover's already been released.
"We need some sort of surprise, right?" He explains. "I can't really say how we're aiming to surprise fans right now, but we've been playing around with many different ideas."
