Mojang's game continues to build on previous successes, with Minecraft currently enjoying its huge popularity on PC, mobile, PlayStation and, of course, Xbox. But could the game end up on even more platforms?
"If I had my way, we'd be on everything," Mojang COO Vu Bui told MCV at last week's Minecon.
"We want to continue to be available to all players, and that means being on new platforms because everyone uses something different."
That answer led to the next question: will we ever see the game make an appearance on a Nintendo platform?
"I've never heard a reason why we haven't ended up on Wii U or 3DS. It just hasn't happened yet," came the response.
During the same show Microsoft announced Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition, and Telltale showed off Minecraft: Story Mode.
