An analyst from investment firm Piper Jaffray has, according to VRFocus, suggests that a recent rise in Facebook's stock may come down to the announcement of the company's collaboration with Microsoft. The report also hints that as a result of the partnership, we may be set to see the release of the Microsoft Rift on Xbox One at some point in the future.
"Our revised price target is based on Oculus [VR] as an insurance policy on the relevance of Facebook's social portfolio as technology shifts," wrote Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster in a report that also suggests that there's a partnership with Microsoft "to bring the Microsoft Rift to Xbox."
The absolutely nothing to substantiate any of these comments, and all we know for sure is that there's a collaboration between Microsoft and Oculus that'll allow players to stream Xbox One games on the VR headset via Windows 10. We've certainly not heard anything to suggest that the Oculus might also be heading to Microsoft's console in any other capacity, so take this with a pinch of salt, for now at least.
