After taking the shortest of breaks following the recent launch of Project CARS, Slightly Mad Studios are itching to get back on the track with their next game, Project CARS 2.

Once again the studio are looking to fund the game through the crowd, and have setup their own their own portal (details here) so they can raise the funds they want to make their next game.

The racer sequel will expand on the original in a number of ways. Slightly Mad are promising the "largest track roster ever" with 50 unique locations and more than 200 course variants. There'll be 8 different disciplines, with Rallycross, Hillclimbs, and Touge added to the mix, and in the co-op career mode players will be able to assume one of several roles. The studio are also promising to focus on pro eSports racing.

It's still early days, so as you might expect, there's no word regarding a potential release window. However, the developers have confirmed that the game is going to hit PS4, Xbox One and PC.
