Just before Tripwire Interactive's John Gibson announced Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, the studio boss also confirmed a couple of things with regards to the studio's other major title.

For starters, there's an update - free of course - coming to Killing Floor 2, it'll include two new maps, new perks and more, as the studio aims to continue to build and expand on their horror-fueled co-op shooter.

Not really an announcement as such, but Gibson did spend a bit of time discussing the game's gore physics, explaining with glee how the studio has got different systems to interact and thus increase the amount of blood and guts that can be sprayed around a level.

Gibson also confirmed to the assembled audience during the PC Gaming Conference at E3 that player progress in KF2 would not reset when the Early Access period had ended, and that accumulated experience and whatnot would endure when the game launched fully - there's going to be no progress wipes at all, which is good news for players worried that they might lose their progress when the game finally comes out of Early Access.

We've played a bit of Killing Floor 2, and it's rather good. To read our initial impressions head this way.
