One of the surprises from Microsoft's E3 press conference yesterday was that Todd Howard from Bethesda showed up to reveal mod support for the Xbox One version of Fallout 4.
Basically, you'll be able to transfer mods from PC to console, and it won't cost you any money. It means you'll have a constant supply of mods to help you customise your game and make it look better, and even add new player-generated content to expand the experience.
While this is an Xbox One exclusive feature, that might not be the case for all eternity. Bethesda has revealed on Twitter that this could also be something that will come to PlayStation 4 further down the line:
"Fallout4 mod sharing (from PC) coming after launch to Xbox One in early 2016. We hope to bring it to PS4, too."
If it does make the leap to PS4 it's more good news for console players who'll be able to take full advantage of the creative labours of their PC counterparts.
