If you'd asked us yesterday which games we were hoping to get announced tonight / tomorrow during E3, Dishonored II would be top or near top of our wish list. Happily for us, it sounds very much like our wish is about to come true.
According to reports circulating around the interwebs, and as collected together by VG247, Bethesda ran a test stream on Twitch ahead of their incoming E3 press event. According to spectators, the Twitch stream was left running afterwards and in the chatter between staff who thought they were off-air, Dishonored II was inadvertently confirmed.
The video posted by one viewer, Twitter's Matty Schroeder, was immediately hit with a takedown notice, and Bethesda's own replay was also removed, so we've no way of verifying whether or not these reports are accurate, but we're certainly leaning towards believing that a Dishonored II announcement is going to happen. Although, perhaps, we're thinking in that direction because we very much want it to be true.
Whatever happened or is about to happen, at least the publisher had the good grace to call the test a success, and they're promising that even more surprises are on the way. With Bethesda's conference due to take place tonight at 3am BST / 4am CEST, we've not long to wait before finding out what these surprises might be.
