After having revealed that every Oculus Rift unit will ship with a wireless Xbox One controller, Oculus VR founder Palmer Luckey came on stage to show the Oculus solution to VR games where you will be using your hands to manipulate objects is.
Oculus Touch. When Palmer Luckey first unveiled the two controllers we thought he was holding two fitness bands awkwardly in his hands. But the Oculus Touch controllers are unlike anything we've seen before. Offering a nunchuck-esque controller with stick, buttons and a trigger - the "half-moon" like construction is there to allow sensor to recognise and allow for immediate recognition of hand gestures such as pointing.
Next week's E3 will allow us hands-on with the consumer version of Oculus Rift and the Oculus Touch controllers. We cannot wait to see how they work out in practice.
