Today it was disclosed that beloved actor Sir Christopher Lee has passed away. The 93 year old actor, perhaps best known for his role as the wizard Saruman in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, died at Chelsea Westminster Hospital in London at 8.30am last Sunday.

Alongside a massive list of movie roles, Lee also did a few jobs in the video game industry through the years, for instance as DiZ / Ansem the Wise in several Kingdom Hearts games, and Lucan D'Lere in Everquest II. He also reprised his role as Saruman in games like The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth.

In addition to the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, Lee is known for Count Dooku in Star Wars Episodes II & III, Dracula in numerous Dracula movies (from 1958 an onwards) and as Dr. Wonka in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

We commend Sir Christopher Lee for a gallant effort, may he rest in peace.
