A new update for the popular Unreal Engine 4 has now been released, pushing the current version onto 4.8. Among the news are optimisation for grass rendering and the procedural foliage systems, but perhaps the most interesting addition is full support for all of the major VR-systems in development.
The complete list now reads as follows:
• Oculus Rift,
• Samsung Gear VR,
• Steam VR / HTC Vive
• Leap Motion
• Sony's Project Morpheus for PlayStation 4
In other words, in terms of VR, Unreal Engine 4 seems to have it made, which is obviously good news for everyone aching to take part in the VR revolution.
