During a recent event held in collaboration with Peugeot in Paris, Kazunori Yamauchi - founder of Polyphony Digital and creator of the Gran Turismo series - offered some very interesting comments about Gran Turismo 7, the racer which is heading exclusively to PlayStation 4.

In a recent interview with Spaziogames, Yamauchi said that the game could land in 2016, which goes against many rumours that suggested the game would land on Sony's console in 2017.

Questioned about whether the title would arrive in 2017, Yamauchi admitted candidly: "People will not wait forever so much," and then he added: "We are talking about Gran Turismo, we will not have to wait that long", and it makes us understand that the game could come during next year."

During the same interview, Yamauchi also promised that Polyphony Digital were working hard to solve many problems related to physical impact and damage simulation that have affected the previous games in the series. The producer also said that there will be a greater number of premium cars in Gran Turismo 7, although Yamauchi preferred not to say too much on that subject.
