Earlier this year, World of Warcraft turned ten years old since it was officially launched. Naturally, even if the game has undergone several renovations since it's not up there with the visually most appealing games on today's market.
If you've ever wondered how the game could have looked if it was released today, you're in luck. The Youtube user Daniel Luchau has recreated the Elwynn Forest area using the Unreal Engine 4, with lovely results.
It's still an early build and Luchau is continously working on improving everything, from lightning to shadows, textures and pop-ins. Lachau says he would like to re-create the entire zone this way (and also Duskwood and Westfall), although it will take a lot of time, and then release it for use with Virtual Reality headsets.
