Given the tremendous hype and reception it should come as no surprise that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt enjoyed the biggest launch week of 2015 so far last week. In fact, it beat the previous best of Battlefield: Hardline by an additional 53% in sales. And while the predecessor The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings also came in at number one during its launch week (on Xbox 360), Wild Hunt outsold it in week one sales by 608% (!). The comparison is a little weird though as it only measures it against the sales numbers of the Xbox 360 version (launching in April 2012, with the PC version out a year prior to that). Chart-Track also noted that 63% of the first week sales were on PS4. Naturally these charts doesn't take in digital sales where we expect a majority of copies on PC were sold.
At number two, technically a re-entry as the PC version launched last year is Farming Simulator 15 that has hit consoles - interestingly enough it seems Xbox owners are more keen to farm than their PlayStation counterparts. Other things to note was the Bloodborne climbed on the back of bundled sales (up from 33 last week), and the number one game of the last two weeks Project CARS fell to fifth.
