Dimension Drive back on Kickstarter after trolling incident

Second time lucky?

Hopefully it'll have better luck the second time around, as Dimension Drive once again takes to Kickstarter. The first time the game made a push for crowdfunding it was trolled when, on the last day of the campaign and with several thousand left to go before hitting target, one individual pledged a huge amount of money that they had no intention of paying. After the studio's initial delight it emerged that they had been tricked, which no doubt must have been hugely disappointing.

Possibly with the silver lining of getting plenty of additional coverage after that unfortunate turn of events, 2Awesome Studio are back on Kickstarter and they're well on their way to getting funded (at the time of writing they're €18k out of €30k). Perhaps part of the positive outlook is down to the generosity of people like Vlambeer's Rami Ismail, who as promised pledged $1k to the project.

If funded Dimension Drive is set to launch at the end of the year. Here's a bit about the game pulled from the Kickstarter page: "Dimension Drive is a comic book-styled space adventure set in a multidimensional universe. It features a unique teleportation mechanic that allows you to fight on two battlefields at once, and gameplay combining frantic shooting, defense and fast puzzling action. We'll need YOUR help to make Dimension Drive the high-quality release you deserve, and bring this unique mix of genres, storytelling and action to reality."
