After serving EA for 23 years, mobile executive vice president Frank Gibeau has left his job with the publisher. This was announced last night, when EA CEO Andrew Wilson said the following:

"Throughout a more than 20-year career, Frank's made many significant contributions to the company, our people and our games. Most recently, he's worked to strengthen EA Mobile by building a great team. We'd like to thank Frank for his achievements at EA, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter."

Wilson also added that the EA Mobile division will continue to focus on mobile platforms, and while the company looks for a more long-term plan the division will report to him. It's speculation on our part of course, but the suddenness of the move makes it look like Gibeau got up and left rather quickly, not giving the company enough time to replace him.
