Microsoft ended 2014 with two consecutive months of Xbox One being the best-selling console in the US (by far). But as 2015 started, Sony was once again back in the driver's seat and PlayStation 4 has won every month in the sales war so far this year. Until now, that is.
In April, Xbox One was once again the best-selling console over there, despite no new major retail releases and Sony launching their exclusive title Bloodborne on March 24. The best selling title was unsurprisingly Mortal Kombat X, more specifically the PlayStation 4 version. Here's the top 10 chart (the formats are listed after sales, from highest to lowest):
1) Mortal Kombat X (PS4, Xbox One)
2) Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, Xbox One, PC, 360, PS3)
3) Battlefield: Hardline (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
4) MLB 15: The Show (PS4, PS3)
5) Minecraft (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4)
6) NBA 2K15 (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
7) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
8) Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
9) Super Smash Bros (3DS, Wii U)
