Hi-Rez Studios announced that Smite, the popular action-MOBA, has entered the closed beta phase in the Microsoft console. Players who participated in the Alpha version can carry over to the Beta version, where new players will join as well. The beta introduces new features and content that was not present in the alpha version.
Smite is free-to-play, living through micro-transactions that are now available in the Xbox's Live Marketplace. Players can acquire new Gods, skins and other cosmetic content. There is also a Founder's Pack, only available up until the official release, which costs £20.99 [€ 23.99], that "features almost double that amount in content", according to the press release.
Hi-Rez Studios has also unlocked a new option that allows PC gamers to link their accounts with the Xbox One version. You can find more information about this process here.
