Vermintide's Empire Soldier detailed
Fatshark have published a blog detailing Markus Kruber, the Empire Soldier.
Kruber who finds himself back in his hometown of Ubersreik after leaving army life behind him after his regiment perished as a result of death-magic. He is in the employment of Victor Saltzpyre (the Witch Hunter) and the two have been escorting a Bright Wizard to town. But as you may know Ubersreik is overrun with Skaven as they arrive.
While all characters in Vermintide offer both melee and range alternatives, Kruber is a natural choice if you want to deal brunt force damage up front (with his Great Hammer). He also has a highly experimental multiple barrel Repeater gun, it's alt-fire allows for all barrels to fire simultaneously for an effect that closely resembles a shotgun.

The fifth playable character remains a secret. Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide is set for release later this year on PC, PS4, Xbox One.
