As Gamereactor reportedyesterday, Sony have decided against having a press conference at this year's Gamescom in Cologne. This does, of course, raise the question how Microsoft will react to this and if they will have a press conference. And that's exactly what a fan decided to ask the Xbox boss Phil Spencer on Twitter. Spencer responded: "Sure, we think GC is an important conference for us. One of the biggest game shows in the world."
And that's not the end of it. Another Twitter user later asked Spencer if he personally would go to Germany to be at Gamescom, and got an answer that surely will charm the European audience: "Yes, I'll be there. Few things in the world like the opening of GC show floor on that first day."
While these comments don't necessarily confirm a press conference (Microsoft held an event for the first time last year on the day prior to the show), it certainly sounds as if Microsoft rates Gamescom higher than Sony.
