Last week Sony presented the figures for the fiscal year 2014, and the PlayStation division could reveal a healthy revenue of $6 billion. In the latest finacial report we also see that they sold 14.8 million consoles last year. In total Sony have sold 22.3 million PlayStation 4 consoles since its launch in 2013.
If you feed that into a calculator, you'll find that it means a PlayStation 4 is sold every other second. That's impressive.
Their handheld division is not doing quite as good. Last fiscal year Sony "only" sold 3.3 million units, which is a great deal less than the 4.1 million handheld consoles they sold the year before.
