It seems Nintendo isn't interested in releasing additional SNES games on Wii U's virtual console, according to virtual console developer and publisher Natsume (via Engadget).

The website reports that Natsume's US community manager reported that Nintendo are now more focused on releasing Nintendo 64 and DS titles:

"At this point, it's unlikely we'll see any other Natsume SNES games coming to the Virtual Console, as Nintendo's interest has moved onto other classic systems".

"If it's not up now, it's not coming".

"The titles for Virtual Console are handled by Nintendo," explained Cee-Cee. "The publisher and Nintendo discuss which classic titles would be a good fit and have the best potential to sell. Once a title is agreed upon, Nintendo and the publisher work together to bring that title to the designated system, with Nintendo doing the bulk of the work.", he concluded.

It's a bad news for the SNES fans who are waiting for other new releases on Wii U's Virtual Console. What was the last SNES game you bought on Virtual Console? Let us know in the comments below.
