During the weekend, news of the cancellation of Silent Hills has emerged online, after director Guillermo Del Toro and actor Norman Reedus confirmed the game has been cancelled. Now Konami have tried to explain that situation in a statement sent to GameSpot.
The company confirmed that "our contract period with Norman Reedus has expired" and "we will continue to develop the Silent Hill series."
It seems Konami is still interested in Silent Hills, but it won't involve the previous team, like Guillermo Del Toro, actor Norman Reedus and, presumably, Hideo Kojima. But that's not to say there won't be another Silent Hill title at some point, it might even be called Silent Hills...
