Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 current-gen discussed for now

It may well see release on PS3 and Xbox 360, but this is not being communicated now.

Original story: Bad news for all Call of Duty fans who are still playing their games on PS3 and Xbox 360. After the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 yesterday, it seems the new entry in Activision's franchise will only be made for current-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) and PC.

So Black Ops 3 will not release on Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii U (no surprise there), and while Advanced Warfare's old-gen version were ported from the current-gen version this means Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the the first current-gen exclusive entry in the series.

Update: We have learned that while Activision is focusing on the current-gen and PC versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for now, there may indeed be old-gen versions of the game released in November. Perhaps not with the same exact feature set and perhaps as with Advanced Warfare the old-gen version will be ported and developed at a different studio.
